OrthoLearn

Privacy policy

About this policy

OrthoLearn supports parish education, class enrollment, lessons, and class communications. This policy describes information handled through OrthoLearn, including optional parish text messaging. Your parish administers your classes and access to educational records.

Information we collect and use

We process information you provide, such as your name, email address, account credentials, enrollment details, form responses, submitted coursework, and optional mobile number. We also process learning progress, notification preferences, consent records, message delivery information, and technical logs needed to operate and protect the service.

We use this information to manage accounts and classes, provide lessons, track learning, support users, and deliver requested communications. Authorized parish staff can access records appropriate to their role.

Mobile numbers and text messaging consent

Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data and consent are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This includes information collected for class invitations, reminders, and lesson-release notices.

We provide only the information needed to service providers that help operate the platform and deliver messages, including Twilio and mobile carriers. These disclosures support the service, not independent marketing. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or to protect the security of the service.

Texting is optional. Message frequency varies with your class schedule and selected notifications. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. You can also manage text preferences in My Calendar. See our messaging terms.

Service providers and account sessions

Hosting, storage, email, and messaging providers process information needed to provide their services. If you use an external meeting or content provider through a class, that provider also handles information under its own policies. OrthoLearn uses session cookies to keep you signed in and support account security.

Retention and your choices

Account and class records are retained as needed to provide education and administer the service. Consent, delivery, and opt-out records may be retained to document permission, investigate delivery issues, and honor requests not to send messages.

You can update your text preferences and ask your parish to correct or delete account information. Some records may need to be retained for legal, security, or administrative purposes. Unsubscribing from texts does not remove your class enrollment.

Contact and updates

For privacy questions or requests concerning the St. Luke parish messaging program, email info@saintlukecolumbia.org. Participants in other parishes should contact their parish administrator.

Updates to this policy will be posted here with a revised effective date.
